HANNIBAL, MO — The Hannibal High School Class of 2025 is leading a major service initiative as part of the 4th Annual Pirate Pride Day of Caring. From May 1–14, students are hosting a “Stock the Bus” canned food drive to support local families and pantries throughout the summer season.

The goal: collect 2,025 pounds of non-perishable food.

Donations can be dropped off at the Hannibal High School office weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Look for the school bus parked out front—students will be loading donations directly onto the bus to symbolize the collective impact of the community’s generosity.

The project is a partnership with United Way and aligns with their Stamp Out Hunger initiative to sort and distribute food to pantries across the region.

“This event is a great example of the heart our students have for service,” said HHS Principal Jason Noland. “It’s inspiring to see them take the lead in caring for our community.”
